Epic Games has launched a new update, v5.30, for Fortnite. The patch has arrived on all platforms–PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and mobile–and it introduces new items to both Battle Royale and Save the World modes, along with an assortment of bug fixes and other improvements. Fortnite Battle Royale players who use a keyboard and mouse on the PlayStation 4 will be paired against those using the same control scheme, whether on PC or console, Epic Games announced in a state-of-development post yesterday. Input-based matchmaking isn’t a part of Fortnite yet but, when it is, it will extend to the entire party. A quick look at Twitch daily streaming numbers confirms what most of us already knew – battle royale games like Fornite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds are still massively popular. But those huge player bases could soon be split among several more games.  Later this year, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will join the fight for battle royale supremacy with its Blackout mode. Reigns: Game of Thrones, a crossover between Tinder-like ruling sim Reigns and HBO’s series about sad people wearing furs, might be the best GoT game made yet. That isn’t a huge compliment, as the Telltale series was nothing special, but we quite like Reigns, so it’s probably worth a go for Ice and Fire fans.  Comparisons aside, the crossover was a good match (hah), and an interesting one. The release of the new Division was confirmed in a post from Sledgehammer Games shared on the game’s subreddit. There’s lots of options if you’re interested Overwatch‘s professional competitive games are done for the season, but this weekend the Overwatch League (OWL) is hosting its first All-Star weekend, featuring teams made up from some of the best players in the world. Two new heroes have been announced for Dota 2: Grimstroke and Mars.
