Activision hasn’t held back with Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, presenting the game at E3, Gamescom and now Tokyo Game Show. The publisher seems to be targeting Dark Souls fans with gameplay videos that repeatedly and loudly hammer the same key message: this game will be just as challenging, if not more so, than From Software’s other series.
The new footage, published to PlayStation’s YouTube channel, gives an extended look at the Corrupted Monk boss fight, along with some adventuring through the game’s mountainous environment. For me, the highlight of the demo comes around the 7-minute mark, when our hero has to sneak past a snake that’s longer than the average skyscraper. The person controlling the demo seems to think they’ve reached safety in a cave. They have not.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will be available on March 22, 2019 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
