Earlier this year back at E3, we got the news that rather than a direct sequel to Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, we were getting an admittedly cool-sounding standalone spin-off release titled Youngblood. The game is a co-op game about B.J.’s twin daughters, and it sounds pretty awesome, but it did leave some wondering about if and when we might see a direct sequel — a Wolfenstein 3.
Well, thanks to an interview between Metro and Bethesda’s Pete Hines, we now have confirmation that a third game in the series is in the works.
“Absolutely we’re making a Wolfenstein 3“, Hines stated in the interview. “They said on stage [at E3] that they’re taking a break from the larger story to do this thing. But we all have to see how that ends.”
While it’s likely it’ll be years before we hear or see anything about this, it does give some hope to those eagerly wanting to know how the story of the man who likes to fight Nazi’s will eventually end.
