Conan O’Brien Visited Kojima Productions

Share.

You’re about to read the name “Conan” a lot.

Talk show host and former Simpsons and SNL writer Conan O’Brien visited Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima’s studio while in Japan.

Kojima shared pictures of the visit on his official Twitter account showing Conan getting a tour of the Kojima Productions facilities in Tokyo, Japan. Conan even doodled on the kitchen wall, asking “Can I have a job here?” Kojima noted in the tweet that the two men are the same age: 55-years old.

Conan took this trip to Japan to visit Conan Town, which is named after the manga and anime show Detective Conan (also known as Case Closed). Conan O’brien bears a (very slight) resemblance to the character Detective Conan, and made the trip as part of an ongoing bit for his show, Conan.

Thankfully, it appears the trip ended peacefully with a 1,000 hamburger barbecue in Conan Town, as reported by Japan Times.

For more on Hideo Kojima’s upcoming game, Death Stranding, keep an eye out for the Death Stranding stage event coming to Tokyo Game Show 2018 and take a look at 12 things to watch and read while you’re waiting for the game.

Colin Stevens is a freelance writer for IGN, and Marge vs. the Monorail is the greatest episode of television ever made, so thanks Conan! Follow him on Twitter.
