Forza Horizon 4 hidden barn finds – here’s how to find them!

Sep 28 2018

We can’t all be lucky enough to discover a hidden barn find in real life. Luckily, Forza Horizon 4 on Xbox One has 15 virtual barn finds instead. Here’s where you can find them!

Forza Horizon 4 has arrived today for Xbox petrolheads who preordered the Ultimate Edition — everyone else has to wait until 2nd October 2018. The latest installment of the open-world arcade racer is set in the United Kingdom and takes in some of the diverse scenery, roads, and weather this island nation has to offer. There’s a huge array of cars, but 15 very special machines are hidden away as ‘barn find’ cars.

What are they? Where are they? How can you get them in your virtual garage? Here’s the complete list of Forza Horizon 4 barn finds.

Unlike other Forza Horizon games of the past, barn finds work a little bit differently this time around. There are 15 cars to be discovered, but four are linked with particular seasons that change throughout the game, and the final one requires you to purchase a castle. Yes, an entire castle. Though barn-finds do carry a premium of sorts these days…

The in-game seasons will change every 7 real-world days, so you’ll also need to be patient to finish the collection. The other 10 cars meanwhile will have their location hinted to you as you progress through the game, just like in Forza Horizon 3.

1983 Audi Sport Quattro

What an icon! Arguably one of the best ways to get around in every season the game can throw at you. The Audi Quattro delivers it performance via its rally-developed Quattro all-wheel-drive system. If you take a look at your map, it is located in a forest below the Derwent Reservoir but above the ploughed field.

1986 Ford Escort RS Turbo

Another 1980s classic, the Escort RS was a true people’s champion being both fast and affordable. You’ll find this barn at the top of a mountain west of Glen Rannoch.

Jaguar XJ220

One of the most misunderstood cars in automotive history, the XJ220 might not have the promised V12, but it’s still an incredible car. Search to the east of Ambleside where you’ll find a big clearing and a mud track that runs through it.

1961 Jaguar E-Type Coupe Series 1

One of the most beautiful cars ever made, the Jaguar E-Type Series 1 is also incredibly valuable today.

Check your map and look up Tarn Hows. There’s a big road that loops around the place and then a series of red tracks on the map. Use those red tracks to get to the south of the lake where the Jaguar is hidden.

1997 Lotus Elise GT1

This homologation special is defiantly one to add to your collection. Hunt the first roads just east of Slate Quarry, it’s hidden just before a T-junction.

1966 MGB GT

A true British classic! It’s even a model year prior to those ugly rubber bumpers being fitted. It is located in a tree line just north of Astmoor.

1965 Mini Cooper S

We’ve seen it in other Forza Horizon games, but the Mini has come home at last. Derwent Water has a huge lake, but at the south-west end of it, there’s also a valley where you’ll find the Mini.

1998 Subaru Impreza 22B STi

Not a British car, but one that was piloted by some famed British rally drivers. Lakehurt Forest is a maze of dirt tracks, but check out the most southerly of them for the 22B.

1962 Triumph Spitfire

A fine example of classic British sports cars. Head to the Express Railyard where you’ll find the Triumph in amongst some bushes.

1998 TVR Cerbera Speed 12

Who’s left this one in a shed to be forgotten? It’s a beast! It’s in the ploughed field east of Greendale Airstrip.

1962 Peel P50

This tiny little car can only be found in the summer season. You’ll locate it hidden in a forest between Ashbrook and Broadway.

1960 Aston Martin DB4 Zagato

This beautiful Aston Martin can only be acquired in the autumn season. It’s one of the easiest finds, just south of the Forza Horizon site.

Range Rover

If snow is falling this Range Rover can be yours, but it can only be found in the middle of Derwent Water during winter.

Ford GT40 MK1

Only retrievable during spring. You’ll find this legend in need of restoration amongst the wind turbines of Moorhead Wind Farm.

1930 Blower Bentley

We hope you’ve got deep pockets… To get your hands on this iconic racer you’ll need to have 10 million credits saved to purchase the Bamburgh Castle property.
